A masterpiece of old craftmanship
Our large fruit and nut bowl is manufactured from solid oak wood using a complex, traditional technique called ‘Reifendrehen’ which has become a rare skill amongst turners. Reifendrehen is almost exclusively used in the German Erzgebirge where it was also invented. Years of experience, consummate skill, physical strength and a unique sense of form are the prerequisite for a premium product, since it is only when the closed wooden ring is cut open that it becomes clear whether the piece has turned out well.
